KLINGENTHAL, Germany (AP) - Organizers called off a ski jumping World Cup event Thursday after being forced to cancel it for the second day running because of high winds.
Twenty skiers had already jumped Thursday before organizers decided to stop the competition because of the difficult conditions.
"In the interest of the athletes we decided to cancel the round," said race director Walter Hofer. "We couldn't do anything against the weather. It's over now."
The next World Cup event takes place Saturday and Sunday in Oberstdorf, Germany.
