U.S. among first teams to land Olympic berth
The International Equestrian Federation confirmed the first teams to qualify for the 2012 Olympics, saying nine countries earned places with their performances at the World Equestrian Games. The U.S. secured berths in dressage and eventing.

Belgium's Le Jeune the clear winner
The only rider to post four clear rounds, Belgium's Philippe Le Jeune won the individual jumping title at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington. Saudi Arabia's Abdullah Al Sharbatly was second, and Canada's Eric Lamaze finished third.

German jumpers grab gold in team
The German show jumping team won the gold medal at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Ky., while France and Belgium rounded out the podium. The German team's first three riders all had clear rounds, securing the gold prior to its fourth rider.
